In collaboration with researchers, students, artists, local communities, and other like-minded individuals, Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal offers resources for research, documentation, and publication in an effort to publicize traditional folk art and culture. The amount of cultural study, recording, and survey work that Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal has done over the years across the nation has directly led to the creation of the archive component of the centre. Researchers from several nations have already travelled to BLKM for research, including those from Japan, the USA, South Korea, and Europe.
Moreover, the center has also compiled almost 10,000 folk songs, which was the first major effort to preserve our folklore ever made in the nation. On March 9, 1993, the catalogue was presented at the Rashtrapati Bhawan by the late Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma, the president of India at the time.
The centre has been publishing the journals "Rangayan" and "Lok Kala" for many years, which are subscribed by researchers, libraries, institutes, and many people. By far, more than 54 publications on folk art and culture have been published by the centre.

Visitors at Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal frequently request gifts and decorative items as a souvenir. Therefore, the center came up with the idea of opening a souvenir shop, inviting artisans to sell puppets and handcrafted goods. This initiative was truly appreciated by both domestic and foreign tourists, as it offered unique and artistic puppets, handicrafts, and many other art pieces for all ages.
